SALON CELEBRATES INCREDIBLE 18 YEARS IN BUSINESS

Award-winning Surrey based salon celebrates 18th anniversary in business as they reflect on giving back to their community.

Haircuts for the homeless, charity fundraising and providing first-rate hairdressing training have made for an incredible 18 years. First opened in November 2003, Pure Hair in Lightwater were delighted to celebrate by inviting clients to enjoy a glass of bubbles. Clients were given a warm welcome with a glass of fizz and were offered complementary mini treatments to mark the milestone. Unable to celebrate last year due to Covid restrictions, being able to celebrate this year made the occasion even more special. Salon owner Benjamin Hunt, who works as part of the hairdressing team on the salon floor said: “We really want to thank all of our wonderful clients for their support and loyalty over the past 18 years. We have a great team who really do love and care about what they do - we’ve never been more excited about delivering our high-quality brand of Pure hairdressing to our clients.” A large number of the salon’s clients have been regulars for over a decade, many have been clients since the very beginning supporting the salon’s community endeavours too. Over many years the salon team have established themselves as a prominent part of their local community, at Pure Hair giving back has always been written into their culture. The team have jumped out of planes, white water rafted, hosted quiz and party nights, raising over £100,000 for causes such as Breast Cancer Now and White Lodge Centre. Pure Hair are proud of what they have achieved with their outreach initiatives. Hairdressers know the importance of self image and the role it plays in self-esteem. In conjunction with Greenlight charity Pure hairdressers have provided over 50 haircuts for Guildford’s rough sleepers. After a challenging year with lockdowns, Pure Hair are now looking to expand their team by taking on additional stylists and apprentices giving opportunity to those who want to get into the industry locally. “Many salons are cutting back on apprentice positions and training for their stylists because of uncertainty around the pandemic. We believe our clients are relying on us now more than ever to deliver high quality, confidence-boosting hairdressing. The best way for us to support our team in being able to deliver this is by giving them the best education opportunities.” Pure Hair have been recognised with an incredible number of accolades over the years as a leading independent salon. The salon has received awards from Best Customer Service Salon to Best Local Salon Experience. Pure Hair are looking forward to another 18 years of giving back to their community locally in Lightwater, Surrey – find out more by visiting www.purehair.co.uk, or calling 01276 475823.
